It was a great weekend for the Los Alamitos Girls Softball All Stars at the PQ Memorial Day Classic Tournament. All 5 teams made it through to the semis on Monday and the 3 teams who made it to the finals came home with the Championship. The 10u Blue team was the first to clinch the win with a 7-6 victory over Mission Viejo. The 10u Red team followed with a 4-3 win against PQ. The 8u Red team topped it off with a 9-4 victory. The 8u Red team went undefeated in the tournament, outscoring their opponents 52-9.

Congrats to the 8u Red All Stars who placed 2nd in the Central District tournament. 8 games & 5 ITB's later, they are walking away with an amazing weekend filled with great softball, some nice hardware and a ticket to the Southern California All Star "B" State Championship!

Our 8u All Star team won 3 straight games, the first 2 in ITB and ended up tied for 5th overall which qualified them for Regionals in San Diego on Friday, July 15th - Sunday, July 17th.

July 15-17: RED TEAM ONLY -8U Regional Tournament (San Diego)
Los Alamitos will be one of just 27 teams in the state to participate in the 2016 C Regionals 8u division, as a part of the California State Games. Games begin as early as 8 am on Friday and there will be an athletes parade at Qualcomm Stadium on Friday night at 6:30 pm, complete with fireworks, special speakers & entertainment.
